Chocolate Chip Cookies, Dairy Free & Gluten Free

Here's a recipe that we've refined for several years now-- it's possible that people won't know they're dairy free & gluten free if you don't tell them!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups millet flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 2 eggs (one brown, one white, ideally)
  • 2 sticks (1 cup) natural source plant butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla or similar flavor (black walnut works well)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 bag of Geffen real chocolate chips
  • microwave bowl & microwave
  • big mixing bowl
  • cookie sheets & oven

Suggested Directions

  1. preheat oven to 375F
  2. blend eggs with the salt & soda & powder (in mixing bowl)
  3. microwave butter until soft, but not clear liquid (or low heat on stove)
  4. stir flavoring into soft butter
  5. stir both sugars into eggs mix
  6. add flavored soft butter to mixing bowl
  7. mix, adding flour slowly to create dough
  8. add real chocolate chips to dough
  9. Bake cookies for 8 to 10 minutes: allow to cool before moving to plate or etc
